Prerequisites for admission to the Master's program in Psychology:

Passing the Unified Masters Examinations:

Those wishing to study in the Master's program in Psychology must pass the Unified Master's Examinations. The student must get a positive grade in all four parts of the exam and his/her grade must be no less than 9 in at least two parts of the exam.

Have at least a Bachelor's degree:

Those wishing to continue their studies in Clinical Psychology must have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and candidates wishing to enroll in the Educational Psychology and Social Psychology must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent academic degree.

Awarded academic degree:

  • Master of Social Psychology
  • Master of Educational Psychology
  • Master of Clinical Psychology

Brief Description

Upon completion of the program, the student will be qualified to specialize in Educational, Clinical or Social Psychology. In Clinical Psychology, the student will have an opportunity to specialize in a subspecialty in either Child or Adolescent Clinical Psychology. In addition, while undertaking the course, students will have the opportunity to study theoretical issues as well as different research methods simplifying the process of writing a Master’s thesis.

Graduates of the Program

Social Psychology:

The graduate:

  • has in-depth and systematic knowledge of current issues/challenges in the field of Social Psychology;
  • is able to plan and implement assessments and interventions of group/organizational complexity using relevant theories and approaches;
  • is able to define a research question/problem and/or hypothesis through the selected field, independently plan and conduct research using modern research methods;
  • can adhere to the ethical norms in the field during research and/or practical activities;
  • has written and oral communication skills, uses modern technology and adheres to norms of academic integrity in professional and research activities;
  • is able to effectively assess and monitor his/her own performance using self-reflection and self-regulation and care for continuous professional development.

Educational Psychology:

The graduate:

  • has in-depth and systematic knowledge of current issues/challenges in the field of education and school psychology;
  • is able to plan and implement different types of assessments and interventions using relevant theories and approaches in order to overcome difficulties in various types of educational institutions, as well as to support a student with special educational needs;
  • is able to define a research question/problem and/or hypothesis, independently plan and conduct research using modern research methods;
  • can adhere to the ethical norms in the field during research and/or practical activities;
  • has written and oral communication skills, uses modern technologies and adheres to norms of academic integrity in professional and research activities;
  • is able to effectively assess and monitor his/her own performance using self-reflection and self-regulation and care for continuous professional development.

Clinical Psychology:

The graduate:

  • has in-depth and systematic knowledge of current issues/challenges in the field of Clinical Psychology;
  • is able to plan and implement appropriate assessments and interventions within the chosen concentration (children/adults) using relevant theories and approaches;
  • is able to define the research question/problem and/or hypothesis through the selected field, independently plan and carry out research using modern research methods;
  • can adhere to the ethical norms in the field during research and/or practical activities;
  • has written and oral communication skills, uses modern technology and adheres to norms of academic integrity in professional and research activities;
  • is able to effectively assess and monitor his/her own performance using self-reflection and self-regulation and care for continuous professional development.
