Project BOOSTER

One of the main directions of the Department of Student Affairs of Ilia State University is to assist with the employment and career development of students and graduates. Within the framework of career development services, the department implements such projects and activities as: Mari Burduli Career Month and a series of job specialization forums, UNIJOBS – employment promotion program, meetings with employers, trainings and consultations for career development, etc. (visit the link for more information).

In the light of the events going on all over the world, when social distancing has become vital for all of us, the team of the Department of Student Affairs has developed a project - offering remote career development services to students and graduates. The project integrates all the services available to the students of Iliauni before the pandemic and rises to the important contemporary challenges. The project, which is called BOOSTER, consists of two parts:

  • BOOSTER – Career Development Accelerator – The aim of the project is to develop the most sought-after skills (4C) of 21st century, which are important for employment and career development – collaboration, critical thinking, communication, creativity, etc., skills necessary to perform at a high level at work, which will help students prepare for the various stages of interactions with the employer.   • Booster Talks – provides online meetings of persons responsible for human resources management of private, public and non-governmental structures operating in Georgia and discussion of such issues as - challenges that the organization faces and ways to solve them exclusively for Iliauni students and graduates.
