The doctoral student of the Lehman – Haupt program, Eka Gurgenashvili participated in the international scientific conference

The doctoral student of the Lehman – Haupt program, Eka Gurgenashvili participated in the international scientific conference held on August 19-23, 2019, in Vienna, Austria. The conference, Stars and their variability, observed from space (https://starsandspace.univie.ac.at/home/) was one of the biggest conference in Europe with more than 220 participants from all over the world and included several different topics. 

The main topics were the structures of the stars, magnetic field, stellar evolution, interaction with their environment and etc. The senior scientists discussed about the open issues and the most recent achievements in space observation and theory. 

Eka Gurgenashvili presented her scientific poster in the session “Variability Other Than Pulsation”. The topic was “Rieger-type periodicity in the activity of the Sun-like stars”, where she reported her recent results about the stellar and solar activity and the periodicities found there. 

She met with her supervisor, Prof. Teimuraz Zaqarashvili and other colleges, who also participated in the conference.
