Meeting with the World Bank Representatives

News

On March 30, Ilia State University hosted representatives of the World Bank. The meeting was attended by the Rector of Ilia State University Mrs. Nino Doborjginidze, the Head of the Development Office Mrs. Ketevan Darakhvelidze, representatives of the World Bank and Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Technology Transfer Pilot Program (TTPP), implemented by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) with the technical assistance of the World Bank. Moreover, since the TTPP is ending, the World Bank representatives presented the concept of establishing a permanent Technology Transfer Office (a joint office with Georgian universities) within Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency and collaboration with Ilia State University.
