ERASMUS+ Project “Curricular Reform For Democratic Principles and Civic Education in Teacher-Training Programs in Israel and in Georgia+

In February 16th and 17th, 2018 was conducted TOT about In-service Teacher Trainings methodology, introduced two day Training Module “Educating for democracy “- Background materials on Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education for Teachers  created by Professors: Davit Malazonia, Sofiko Lobzhanidze. All five universities members of Consortium from Georgia side participated in ToT training at ISU.

The In-service Teacher Training Courses were hold in Tbilisi, Telavi and Batumi in the Spring Semester 2018. At Tbilisi Trainings attended teachers from nearby cities:  Sighnahi, Mtskheta, Rustavi, Martkopi. The topics discussed were: Education for Democratic Citizenship; Interactive methods of study - Case Study; 21st Century Skills: Learning and Innovation Skills Information, media and technological skills; Vital and career skills.

On June 21, 2018, at Ilia State University, according to ERASMUS + project Curricular Reform For Democratic Principles and Civic Education in Teacher-Training Programs in Israel and in Georgia” was held trainings for in-service teachers were attended 45 teachers and Ilia State University faculty members. The topic of the training was "Competences for Democratic Citizenship in Schools".

On the same day the second training was conducted on the issue of  Promoting Civic Education through VaKE by Professor Jan-luk Patri (Salzburg, Austria). Duration: 2 hours.
