Within the framework of the Carl-Friedrich Lehmann-Haupt International Doctoral Program Prof. Dr. Irina Lobzhanidze, Professor of Linguistics working for the Institute of Linguistic Research of the Ilia State University (ISU), visited the Georg-August-University of Göttingen (UGOE) in Germany from November 9 to 16, 2018. Together with Prof. Dr. Hedde Zeijlstra (UGOE), Prof. Dr. Nino Doborjginidze (ISU) and Prof. Dr. Anke Holler (UGOE) she co-supervises a doctoral research project on “Subject Marking”. The stay at UGOE included meetings with the two supervisors and the doctoral student with regard to the research objectives. Prof. Dr. Lobzhanidze got acquainted with the academic environment at UGOE and attended a seminar on the distribution of evaluativity in subcomparatives presented by S. Moracchini from MIT.
