On March 19, Ilia State University hosted a workshop titled "Peacebuilding and Peace Activism" as part of the project "Curriculum Reform for Promoting Peace Education in Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova" (PeaceEdu).

The project, supported by Erasmus+, aims to develop university curricula focused on peace education while also encouraging student engagement in peace activism.

Students from Ilia State University and Sokhumi State University participated in the workshop.

Discussions concentrated on the role of peace education in conflict transformation, peacebuilding, and civic engagement. Special emphasis was placed on the role of youths in peace initiatives within their communities. Participants acquired opportunities for student involvement in peace-related activities and outlined next steps in this direction.
