Second Conference within the frames of INTEGRITY project

On June 23rd, 2022 Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted Second Conference on „Academic Integrity and Emergency Distance Teaching“ planned and organized by Ilia State University within the frames of the project Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY). The event is the annual dissemination activity that is carried out despite the fact that the project funding from EU is over.

Prof. Nino Doborjginidze – Rector of Ilia State University and Ms. Nunu Mitskevichi – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and highlighted the importance of the project and academic integrity within HEIs. Moreover, 15 Georgian HEI representatives attended the conference and more than 40 speakers presented relevant presentations during the conference.

The main topic of the conference was the state of emergency caused by the pandemic, the process of online learning and the principles of academic integrity within this context. The presentation topics were grouped into several panels:

  • Student motivation during online learning;
  • Evaluation of learning outcomes;
  • Violation of academic principles;
  • Specifics of foreign language teaching;
