Online Trainings for Consortium Member Academic Staff within the frames of INTEGRITY project

On April 15-16 as well as April 29-30, 2020 Ilia State university initiated and carried out trainings within the frames of Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY) project.  Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 the trainings were conducted online.

The content of the training covered various topics (Functions of TURNITIN Soft – creating assignments, analyzing the indicator of similarity, providing relevant feedback to students, using rubrics and audio feedback, etc.) that were identified as important fields were improvement and more guidance was needed during the monitoring visit of ISU to partner institutions. All partner institutions nominated relevant personnel who attended the online trainings. In total 340 people took part in the training.

Briefly about the Project

The core objective of the project Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher
Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY) is to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
processes that are based on the principles of academic integrity and supported by policies,
mechanisms and tools that help prevent and detect cases of plagiarism in higher education
institutions in Georgia.
