Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova

The second consortium meeting of the project "Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova" (PeaceEdu — ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) was held on April 2–3, 2025 at the State University of Moldova and the State Pedagogical University of Moldova.
During the meeting, participants discussed the following topics: the transformative role of peace education; didactic approaches of peace education: from theory to practice; syllabi for academic courses in peace studies and peace education and their integration into university curricula; extracurricular activities focused on peacebuilding; and opportunities for collaboration between universities and non-governmental organizations in peace initiatives; financial and administrative issues related to the project were also addressed.
Representatives from Ilia State University — Professor Sofiko Lobzhanidze and Lia Tvilidiani, a doctoral student in the Educational Science program — presented the developed syllabi for teacher training programs, the plans for piloting, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as information on the student activities carried out and future plans.
