Trainings for Administrative staff within the PRODIGE project
News
Ilia State University administrative and academic staff participated in two international professional development activities organized within the EU co-founded PRODIGE project. From 1 to 3 December 2025, university representatives attended a three-day training seminar at Tbilisi State University focused on reinforcing students’ and graduates’ employability in digital education settings, while between 24 November and 12 December 2025, administrative staff took part in an online training delivered by Hénallux on adapting institutional structures and support services for digital education.
The employability-focused seminar brought together higher education professionals from across Georgia to examine how digital education can better respond to labor market demands. Led by University of Algebra (Croatia), the program combined research-informed presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative discussions on European digital transformation trends, digital skill gaps, and strategies for embedding employability-oriented digital competencies into curricula and teaching practices. Participants also engaged in stakeholder mapping and project development activities, resulting in institutional action plans aimed at extending the impact of PRODIGE beyond the project framework.
In parallel, the training on organizing technical and support services addressed the strategic and operational foundations of high-quality digital and distance education, in line with UNESCO’s global framework for quality distance education and Sustainable Development Goal 4. Participants explored institutional readiness, quality assurance, digital infrastructure, Learning Management Systems, open education principles, and the role of artificial intelligence and innovation in digital education.
