Training on Change Management and Management Meeting within the PRODIGE Project

Events

From 29 June to 2 July 2026, representatives of Ilia State University participated in a series of activities organized within the framework of the EU-funded PRODIGE project at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Five administrative staff members from Ilia State University took part in the activities.

From 29 June to 1 July, the three-day training “Mastering Change Management Process” was delivered by experts from Algebra Bernays University, Croatia. The training focused on supporting Georgian higher education institutions in managing digital transformation as a strategic and institutional change process rather than merely a technical upgrade.

Through interactive lectures and practical workshops, participants explored institutional readiness for digital education, leadership and governance arrangements, stakeholder roles, staff engagement, resistance to change, and internal communication strategies. Particular attention was given to diagnosing institutional strengths and gaps, identifying barriers to digital transformation, and developing institutional change roadmaps with clear priorities, timelines, resources, and progress indicators. The training also addressed the relationship between digital education and quality assurance, with a focus on student-centered learning, learning outcomes, assessment, feedback, accessibility, and sustainable institutional approaches.

On 2 July, a PRODIGE Project Management Meeting was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. During the meeting, project partners reviewed the activities already implemented across the project’s work packages, discussed progress and key achievements, and reflected on ongoing tasks and coordination needs. Particular attention was given to the planning of the next six months, with partners agreeing on upcoming activities, priorities, responsibilities, and key steps for the next phase of project implementation.
