Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova

On 19–21 November 2025, the University of Hildesheim (Germany) hosted the third consortium meeting of the Erasmus+ project Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova (PeaceEDu).

The main objectives of the meeting included:

  • reviewing the courses, training programmes, educational resources developed within the project, as well as the outcomes of their piloting phase;
  • presenting the activities carried out by student peace clubs, sharing experiences, and discussing organizational matters related to the upcoming international summer camp;
  • agreeing on the substantive and organizational components of the international conference planned within the project.

During the consortium meeting, two significant academic presentations were delivered, followed by an engaging discussion:

  1. “Diversity Education and Democracy Education at the University of Hildesheim”
    Speaker: Prof. Viola B. Georgi (University of Hildesheim)
  2. “From Multiperspectivity to Public Encounters: Reimagining Critical Peace Education through Dis-enclosure and Conviviality”
    Speaker: Prof. Frans Kruger (University of Nottingham)

The meeting served as an important platform for strengthening collaboration among partner universities and organizations. The agreements reached and the initiatives discussed will substantially contribute to the further advancement of the project and the enhancement of peace education in the region.
