"Towards a New Correspondence between Strongly Correlated Quantum Systems".

18 იანვარს, 18:00 საათზე, ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის G106 აუდიტორიაში,  ჩრდილოეთ ევროპის თეორიული ფიზიკის ინსტიტუტის (Nordita, სტოკჰოლმი, შვედეთი) დოქტორი ტობიას ცინგი გამართავს სემინარს თემაზე: „ახალი თანაფარდობები ძლიერად კორელირებულ კვანტურ სისტემებში“.

სემინარზე განხილული იქნება იდეები, რომლებიც საფუძვლად უდევს ე. წ. ყალიბურ/გრავიტაციულ დუალიზმს, ისევე როგორც ანალოგურ გრავიტაციას. ეს ორივე კონცეფცია აკავშირებს კონდენსირებული გარემოს ფიზიკის მეთოდებს გრავიტაციულ თეორიებსა და შავი ხვრელების ფიზიკასთან. საუბარი იქნება იმაზე, თუ როგორ შეიძლება გრავიტაციის გამოყენება დამხმარე რგოლად გამოთვლების საწარმოებლად ძლიერად კორელირებად კვანტურ სისტემებში.

The talk introduces the underlying ideas behind the so-called gauge/gravity duality as well as analog gravity. Both of these concepts relate processes in a condensed matter system to a gravitational theory and black hole physics. Based on that, using gravity as an intermediary, a new correspondence can be established between two different and hitherto unrelated condensed matter systems:  the strongly coupled system from the gauge-gravity duality and the weakly coupled gravitational analog.

Besides promising a better understanding of systems where some of the physical processes involved are still not well understood, this correspondence can also have potential applications regarding quantum simulations.
