"The Memory Project: Fact-based Countering of Soviet Nostalgia and Russian Historical Revisionism"
Project "The Memory Project: Fact-based Countering of Soviet Nostalgia and Russian Historical Revisionism", is coordinated by Ilia State University and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia.
This 2-year initiative brings together a powerhouse of of national and international institutions, NGOs, and partners including Harvard University, IDFI, The Museum of Georgian Literature, SovLab, PEN Georgia, IliaUni's Memory Studies Center, Writers' House, and The National Trust of Georgia. The project would include significant outreach at the regional, national, and international level.
The aim of the project is to promote access to information, debunk false narratives, collect oral histories, share unheard stories, strengthen civil society, and foster a future grounded in facts and western integration.
