Admission to the Certificate Course: “Preparing for the IELTS Exam (Academic Module)”

News

The Center for Personal and Professional Development and the Centre for Academic Writing of Ilia State University announce admission to the certificate course “Preparing for the IELTS Exam (Academic Module)” for passing the academic module of Cambridge IELTS test.

About the Course

The aim of the course “Preparing for the IELTS Exam (Academic Module)” is to prepare the student to pass the academic module of Cambridge IELTS international exam test. To achieve this goal, a suitable environment will be created, where all four language skills, general and academic vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary for the exam will be consistently developed and refined; The student will get to know the latest time-tested exam tactics and develop the necessary techniques for successfully passing the exam.

All four language skills are closely connected. Learners will easily see that, for example, the words or grammatical forms learned during a reading task can be used in speaking or writing. A circle is formed in which everything is connected. This will be well demonstrated in each subsequent week's session by doing exam-oriented and appropriately formatted practice work called Exam Focus. A Mock Test (all four parts) of IELTS exam will be conducted with maximum observance of the exam conditions at the end of the course. Then, a session will be devoted to discussing the test results and each student will receive individual practical advice.

A certificate of successful completion of the course will be issued based on the appropriate participation in all course activities, the accumulated points and the result of the mock test, which the student can present where proof of B2 level proficiency is required.
