School of Law
School of Law aims to produce highly qualified and competitive specialists at each level of legal education (bachelor's and master's programs).
Currently School of Law runs Bachelors of Laws (LLB) and Private (Business) Masters of Laws (LLM) and Public Law and Policy Master Programs.
LLB Program aims to produce qualified specialists with bachelor's degree through teaching them the role of law in the society and state affairs and developing their skills to conduct legal research, as well as accomplish other tasks related to their profession. The program offers students an insight into legal issues, helps them to analyze and comprehend these issues and use the acquired knowledge in practice through different teaching methodologies (discussion/debates, group works, problem-based teaching, heuristic method, etc.). Only in this way does it become possible to produce consummate professionals equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Private (Business) Law Program aims to prepare consummate professionals in private (business) law with the ability to perform practical activities and independent scientific research. The Master's program is focused on the development of research and practical skills.
Together with gaining modern and up-to-date knowledge, School of Law provides students with the possibility to integrate with the professional environment through the Private Law Clinic.
Public Law and Policy Master Program aims to prepare qualified specialists in the field with interdisciplinary knowledge, as well as assist lawyers to develop necessary practical and research skills.
Public Law and Policy Master Program is the only program in Georgia which, through integrating different areas of law and policy, helps students comprehend interrelations between these fields. Together with gaining modern and up-to-date knowledge, School of Law provides students with the possibility to integrate into the professional environment through the Private Law Clinic.
