Program objectives

The aim of the program is to prepare a highly qualified public law practitioner and expert who will have systematic knowledge of various aspects of the relationship between public law and politics, will be able to conduct a complex study of current problems of public law and policies related to it, and will use the acquired knowledge in practical activities in relation to the issues of human rights law, as well as the development of state institutions, reforms and legislative changes

Brief description:

The Master Program of Public Law and policy is the only one in Georgia, which, by integrating the fields of law and policy, develops a broad vision of the relationship between these fields. Along with acquiring modern knowledge, the School of Law offers those wishing to continue their studies in the program an opportunity to integrate with the professional environment through the clinic.

Within the framework of the program, lectures are delivered by qualified academic staff and successful constitutionalists, human rights specialists and judges with practical experience. The student can take part of the courses in English. The School of Law helps students to do internships in public or non-governmental organizations partnered by the university, according to their interests.

Employment areas:

  • International organizations of relevant profile, public sector, including the Parliament, Constitutional or Supreme Court;
  • Continuation of studies at the doctoral level;
  • non-governmental organizations working in the field of human rights;
  • Practicing expert in public law issues.
