About the program 

The Bachelor of Architecture program was developed in 2011.

The program focuses on the development of transfer skills such as critical thinking and quantitative reasoning, original and creative decision making, communication with professionals and non-professionals through the effective use of foreign languages ​​and technologies. Most importantly, the program aims to develop liberal values ​​in the student, to help them succeed in society and the professional arena.

Aim of the program 

The aim of the Bachelor of Architecture program is to provide graduates with extensive knowledge of:

  • Basic concepts of architecture, its development history and trends, modern design and construction technologies;
  • Various aspects of architectural analysis, design, structure and visual representation (digital and analog);
  • Skills such as: developing a conceptual project, drawing required for the project by hand or by the computer program, drawing by hand, modeling (by hand or by computer)
  • About the main theories and approaches of foreign policy analysis.

Main areas of study 

The main areas of the study program are design management, civil engineering, urban planning, contour geometry, interior design, art and photography. During the study process, the student also learns the following areas: studying architectural forms, landscape design, painting and drawing in different styles.

Learning outcomes 

Knowledge and understanding:

The graduate shall have the knowledge of: 

  • Basic concepts and theories of architecture, including the principles and approaches of "green" and "smart" architecture;
  • Design, construction and building technologies and the steps to go from the design of the building to its construction;
  • The graduate must have a basic knowledge of art and architecture history
  • The graduate should know the basic principles of reconstruction and restoration, the basics of urban planning, the norms and standards required for building planning.
  • The basic specifics of the various visual representations of the form (digital and analog);
  • Knowledge of the problems and challenges of sustainable architecture.

Application of the knowledge in practice:

The graduate will be able to: 

  • Communicate an architectural idea/concept through a model and/or drawing in both analog and digital formats; 
  • Apply the principles and approaches of sustainable architecture in design;
  • Critically analyze and evaluate the architectural project;
  • Design an architectural object with supervision, from an idea to its execution;
  • Draw manually, 2-D and 3-D computer modeling, model execution;
  • Read and execute draft drawings;
  • Apply the principles of restoration/reconstruction;
  • Apply the principles of urban planning;
  • Measure the buildings and implement the plan;
  • Read a construction drawing, perform calculations (using appropriate programs);
  • Use of modern construction technologies and materials in accordance with the defined instructions.
