Ilia State University will hold a scientific conference “Korea-Georgia: Historical Parallels” in cooperation with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies within the framework of a project funded by the Academy of Korean Studies on May 19-20, during the Korean Week, which was organized to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Georgia.

The conference will be attended by researchers from Ilia State University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, as well as students of the Korean language course of Ilia State University.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed between Inha University and Ilia State University to develop dual degree programs and establish a Korean center at Ilia State University at the end of the conference.
