To mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Georgia, Ilia State University will organize Korean Week, which will take place on May 14-20, 2022, with the support of partner Korean universities, associations and diplomatic missions.
Partners of the Week:
- Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Korea;
- Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tbilisi;
- Academy of Korean Studies (AKS);
- Hankuk University of Foreign Studies;
- Inha University;
- Georgian-Korean bridge.

QUIZ ON KOREA 2022
Description: A large-scale event Quiz on Korea, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tbilisi and in partnership with Ilia State University, will be held on May 14 to promote Korean culture and language. The event consists of a quiz (Quiz on Korea) and a cultural event (K-Culture Contest), which is open to pre-registered participants interested in learning Korean culture and language.

Cho Ju-kwan’s Public Lecture: The Significance of Translation in the Process of Establishing Cultural Relations

Korean Speech Contest for Sunday School Students

Korean Traditional Games

Scientific Conference “Korea - Georgia: Historical Parallels”
Ilia State University will hold a scientific conference “Korea-Georgia: Historical Parallels” in cooperation with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies within the framework of a project funded by the Academy of Korean Studies on May 19-20, during the Korean Week, which was organized to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Georgia.
