The Representatives of Ilia State University attended the Methodological Workshop in Konstanz within the framework of “Horizon Europe” Research Project

On April 26-27, the methodological workshop was held in Konstanz, Germany within the framework of  Horizon Europe research project "EMBRACing changE: Overcoming Blockages and Advancing Democracy in the European Neighbourhood (EMBRACE)".

The above-mentioned project aims to study blockages to and drivers of democratisation in the EU's neighbourhood and strengthen the pro-democratic actors based on improved knowledge. 

The workshop was dedicated to the methodological aspects of the project, where the involved researchers shared their experience and opinions regarding the peculiarities of research target regions and discussed the plan of the following milestones of the research. The consortium members also developed the general methodology framework and fieldwork design, they talked about ethical, gender and cultural aspects of research too. Consortium members reviewed the existing scientific literature on the subject of the research. The main purpose of the workshop was to achieve the consistency and comparability of the data obtained as a result of the research done by the involved parties.

David Aprasidze and Giorgi Gvalia, professors at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences attended the workshop on behalf of Ilia State University. The ISU team will investigate cases from Georgia and Armenia.
