Ilia State University, in partnership with a consortium of universities, is launching a European Master's Program in Lexicography (European Master in Lexicography, Emlex).
The spring 2025 semester of the program will be hosted by the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal.
In honor of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, this year's incoming cohort has been named after him.
The new class includes students from diverse countries, including Georgia, Ukraine, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Hungary, Benin, Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Mali.
The semester will commence on February 25, 2025. The opening ceremony will feature representatives from Ilia State University, including Professor Tina Margalitadze, Head of the Program; Nino Mataradze, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; and Nino Doborjginidze, Rector.
