Online seminar within the framework of the MEDIATS Project

News

On June 2, 2020 Ilia State University School of Law participated in the online seminar held within the framework of ERASMUS+ project MEDIATS: Training and Society Transformation, the purpose of which was to present Master's Degree programs / modules created by the partner countries participating in the project.

The presentations at the seminar covered two issues: 1) Mediation in partner countries – discussed by Ucha Dzimistarishvili, an invited lecturer at the School of Law. He introduced the new developments in the field of mediation in Georgia to the audience participating in the seminar, and 2) Davit Maisuradze, an Associate Professor of the School of Law and Head of the Private (Business) Law Master's Program, presented to the partners a 60-credit mediation module created within the framework of the Private (Business) Law Master's Program.

Konstantine Chokoraia, Head of Quality Assurance Department of the School of Law, and Salome Gagnidze, a Curriculum Expert, also participated in the seminar. (See the link to the online workshop here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXHT3pRFjaA&feature=youtu.be)

Please note that, Ilia State University School of Law is engaged in the ERASMUS + project "MEDIATS: Training and Society Transformation". The project is funded by the European Union and its main objective is to promote the development of the institute of mediation in the partner countries participating in the project. Within the framework of the project, School of Law introduces a 60-credit mediation module to the Private (Business) Law Master's Program, upon the successful completion of which, students will be awarded a certificate of completion of the mediation module along with their diplomas.
