Professor Nino Doborjginidze, the rector of Ilia State University, was on a working visit to San Diego State University in California as part of the long-term strategic cooperation with San Diego State University, and participated in the SDSU Georgia Advisory Board meeting.

A meeting was held with Adela La Torre, the rector of San Diego State University, in order to strengthen cooperation and ensure future development.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Ilia State University and San Diego State University regarding the promotion of sustainable development through education. The development and elaboration of programs to promote the research capabilities of Georgian scientists continues within the framework of cooperation. Cooperation is planned to strengthen the STEM fields at the level of general and pre-school education.
