Training Programs for Georgian Scholars at UT Dallas

The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) and Tbilisi State University announce the call for applications for the Research Training Program for Scholars.
The program is designed for PhD students and early-career faculty in STEM, Economics, Business, and Social Psychology who have defended their doctoral dissertation after January 1, 2020. The program includes a two-week intensive English course, research work in UTD laboratories, and training in academic writing, grant writing, and scientific communication.
The program provides:
- round-trip travel,
- accommodation, meals, public transport pass in Dallas,
- and daily living expenses.
Application deadline is January 30, 2026, 23:59 (Tbilisi time).
Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be conducted in early March 2026. Selected participants will travel to Dallas late May 2026 and will spend 8 weeks on campus of University of Texas in Dallas. Successful candidates must attend mandatory virtual orientation sessions two months before departure.
The program is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and the U.S. Department of State.
