RWTH Aachen University announces an open call for applications for the 12-month Käte Hamburger Kolleg Fellowship Program for the 2026/27 academic year.
The Käte Hamburger Kolleg “Cultures of Research” is an international center for advanced studies in the history, philosophy, and sociology of science and technology. The fellowship program is open to researchers from the humanities and social sciences, as well as from the natural and technical sciences.
The application deadline is December 31, 2025.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, the research focus will be on “Varieties of Science”, and applications should address the following topics:
- Comparative studies of countries and their respective research cultures and institutional contexts;
- Methodological analyses of differences between research contexts;
- Studies of a specific country’s scientific practices and knowledge production system.
