Screening and Discussion of the Film “Purgatory”

The Human Rights Department of Ilia State University invites you to the screening and discussion of the film “Purgatory” with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program on November 26, at 14:00.

The award-winning 2021 short film “Purgatory” analyzes domestic violence with absolute precision. The director clearly shows that there are different forms of violence against a person and often the worst occurs when the victim decides to leave the abuser.

At the discussion, together with the speaker, we will talk about the legal framework of the community and the problems and challenges in practice.

At the end of the semester, the 3 most active (activity is calculated by the number of signatures on the attendance sheet) students participating in the events organized by the Department of Human Rights will be identified and awarded by the Dean of the School of Law.
