PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF THE 15th ISSUE OF THE MAGAZINE "REVIEW OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW"

On the 10th of September, at 17:00, Ilia State University School of Law and its scientific journal "Review of Constitutional Law" invites you to the presentation and discussion of the 15th issue of the magazine: "Justice and Democracy - Forms of Abuse of Judicial Control."
The event will be opened by Giorgi Papuashvili, Professor of Ilia State University School of Law, former Chairman of the Constitutional Court.
Speakers from Georgia and the United States are invited to participate in the event. The event will be held in the format of a panel discussion.
The discussion will be led by Konstantine Vardzelashvili, Professor of Ilia State University, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the journal, Former Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
Authors participating in the discussion:
- David Landau, Professor, Associate Dean of International Programs, Florida State University School of Law;
- Davit Zedelashvili, Associate Professor, School of Law, University of Georgia;
- Nazi Janezashvili, a former member of the High Council of Justice (2017-2021) and founder of the non-governmental organization "Georgian Court Watch".
Speakers will address important issues such as justice and democracy; The role of the judiciary and forms of abuse of judicial control against democracy; Eastern European experience and Georgian context.
