“Digital technologies to support adolescents with depression and anxiety” - Public lecture by psychiatrist Rhys-Bevan Jones
Rhys-Bevan Jones, child and adolescent psychiatrist, clinical researcher, will hold a lecture on the topic: “Digital technologies to support adolescents with depression and anxiety” as part of a visit to the Resource Center for Mental Health and Institute of Addictology of Ilia State University at the book house “Ligamus” on October 25, at 18:30.
The topics of the lecture are:
- Exploring digital resources available to support adolescents with depression and anxiety;
- Realizing the importance of co-development with adolescents;
- Understanding the digital health technology assessment process.
English researcher Rhys-Bevan Jones is a lecturer at Cardiff University in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and is currently working on the development of psycho-consultative support methods using digital technologies.
In 2018 he was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) to refine and pilot a digital program for adolescent depression. The program was developed as part of his NIHR/HCRW Doctoral Research Fellowship.
He's involved in various projects including: Early Prediction of Adolescent Depression (EPAD) study; PAMAd study to evaluate mental health services in Georgia; Youth Mental Health Network TRIUMPH and Collaborative Development of ADHD Digital Resources.
