AN ACADEMIC CONFERENCE “THE POLISH AND GEORGIAN INDEPENDENCE MOVEMENT IN THE 19TH CENTURY”

Events

On May 18, at 11:00 an academic conference “The Polish and Georgian Independence Movements of the 19th Century” will be held in Ilia State University Auditorium T102.

The event will be dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the outbreak of the January Uprising and the 190th anniversary of the 1832 plot of the Georgian nobility. It will be attended by Georgian and Polish historians, political scientists, and sociologists, who will address themes related to the intelligentsia and national issues.  Most of these will concern Poland and Georgia, but some will also touch upon Ukraine. The conference is held under the honorary patronage of His Excellency Mariusz Maszkiewicz Ambassador of Poland to Georgia.
