On December 8, as part of a series of weekly meetings of the Programming Club of Computing Center at Ilia State University, we invite you to a meeting with David Nadaraia, co-founder and technical director of Ozorix.

Meeting topic: The Art of Abstraction

We discuss one of the most important components of computer science - abstraction - from the lowest level of CPU operations to the highest level of architectural solutions.

We will talk about the following topics:

  • Definition of abstraction in computer science;
  • Programming paradigms (OOP, FP);
  • Levels of abstraction;
  • Design patterns;
  • Modern architectural patterns;
  • Positive and negative sides of abstraction.

About the speaker

David Nadaraia, Visiting Professor of Computer Sciences at Ilia State University, co-founder and technical director of Ozorix since 2004.

David holds a PhD in CAD / CAM systems and 27 years of experience in the software industry. He collaborated with commercial projects as a consultant, with various scientific organizations such as Institute of Advanced Study/Collegium Basilea (Switzerland) in the field of data science and computer modeling, Chikobava Institute of Linguistics (Georgia) in the direction of development of Georgian language dialects and in the development of natural language.
