On October 2, 18:00, Ilia State University Book House "Ligamus" will host a workshop and book presentation led by the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) Professor Emeritus Patrick Serio.

Topic of the workshop is the intellectual foundations of structuralism in the 1920-30-ies Central and Eastern Europe. This theme is significant in so far as it concerns both the culture and the history of thought from a prominent time, as well as the region, to which Georgia belongs. The abovementioed period together with the region requires an in-depth scientific study, which is provided in Patrick Serio's monograph titled "Structure and integrity". Georgian translation of the book was published by the Ilia State University Press for "History and Theory of Modernity" series (8th volume).

Presentation at the workshop will be held by Professor Serio himself; The event will also include addresses by the editor of the series Professor Giga Zedania and translator of the book Professor Tinatin Bolkvadze.
