U.S. Embassy Democracy Commission Small Grants Program-funded Project Presentation

Events

The presentation of the project "Reconstructing the Public Sphere in Georgia" supported by the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program of the Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia will be held in the book house "Ligamus" on October 7, at 18:00.

The aim of the project is to promote the role of the university as an important actor in the public sphere in setting, discussing and solving issues of public interest.


Program

6:00-6:20 p.m. – Welcome speech

  • Nino Doborjginidze, Rector of Ilia State University.
  • Christopher Anderson, Cultural attaché of the US embassy in Georgia.

6:20 -7:00 p.m. - Project presentation

  • Prof. Giga Zedania, Director of the Center for Advanced Studies at Ilia State University.

Working languages: Georgian, English (simultaneous interpretation in English will be provided)

Attendance is free.
