"The Waste Land"-Book Presentation

February 12, 18:00, Ligamus Bookstore will be hosting the presentation of Gia Jokhadze’s book, “T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land”, Hermeneutic Interpretations”.
The book covers a poem “The Waste Land” by great British poet, essayist, publisher and intellectual Thomas Stearns Eliot (1888-1965) translated to Georgian, as well as textual interpretation of original materials of modern Eliotology.
“The Waste Land” by T.S.Eliot is widely regarded as "one of the most important and scandalous poems of the 20th century" and a central text in Modernist poetry. From the day of a publication, the poem is accompanied by many legends, myths and rumors about how text was written, what author intended and what was the impact of up to date situation (Post- war Europe, being the main protagonist of a poem) and etc.
The new book of Gia Jokhadze is for admirers, researches and translators of T.S. Eliot poetry.
