Summer School “Georgian Studies”

On August 27, 2010, 6pm two summer schools of the Ilia State University: “Georgian Studies” and “South Caucasus: Culture, Society, Policy” will be officially launched at the Open Air Museum of Ethnography of Georgia.
Funding for the summer school “South Caucasus: Culture, Society, Policy” is provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). It brings together 20 German students and two world-renowned experts.

Project “Georgian Studies” which is jointly financed by the Ilia State University and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will consist of 10 international and 10 local participants.

During the summer schools Georgian and foreign students will attend lectures, workshops, meet experts and spend one working week in Abastumani at the scientific-research center of the Ilia State University.
