School Competition of Robots

The Technological Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center of Ilia State University will hold a school competition of robots for students of grades IX-XII of public and private schools in Georgia in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and EPAM Georgia on December 26.

The competition will be held in the new Sports Palace and teams of high school students from public and private schools in Tbilisi and the region will compete in it.

Conditions for participating in the school competition of robots:

Any public and private school in Georgia that wants to participate and has the appropriate equipment can participate in the competition.

The competition will be held in three directions in two different robot categories – mBot and 4WD Smart Robot Car.

It should be noted that all tasks must be performed by the robot independently, using software code. It is not allowed for the participant to remotely control the robot during the competition.

A school must have at least one of the two types of robot to be able to participate in the appropriate category of the competition.

Information about robot types:

The school must present a team composed of students, in which the minimum number of students will be 2, and the maximum - 4.

The school team should be composed of students of grades IX-XII.

A school can register several teams for the competition.

Conditions of participation

Participation in the project is free for schools, although the project does not cover the costs of transportation of participants to and from the event location.

It is mandatory for one robot to participate in all categories.

How can the school become a project participant?

Must complete the electronic application form no later than December 23, 2022.

After the registration is completed, we will contact the schools and provide detailed information related to participation no later than December 25, 2022.

The indicated program is funded within the framework of the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program 2021 of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.
