Larry Diamond, Stephen D. Krasner and Gia Nodia will deliver lectures on March 27, 15:00, at Ilia State University Hall B 202.

Topic: Democracy and State-Building in the Post-Soviet Realm: Where We Stand Twenty-Five Years Later

Meeting is held within the framework of "Essence of democracy: foreign, economic and security policy choices in the region"- a joint conference of Economic Policy Research Center and the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law of Stanford University, with the support of "Open Society Georgia Foundation" (OSGF), U.S. Embassy in Georgia and NATO Public Diplomacy Division.

About Larry Diamond

Larry Diamond is Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and founding co-editor of the Journal of Democracy. At Stanford University, he is professor by courtesy of political science and sociology, and he coordinates the democracy program of the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL), within the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI).

About Stephen D. Krasner

Stephen D. Krasner is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) and a Graham H. Stuart Professor of International Relations.

Over the years Diamond has taught at University of California and Stanford University where he is professor by courtesy of political science and sociology.
