On June 8, at 16:00, Ilia State University will host a public lecture on “Environment and Development” within the framework of the OSCE environmental protection project “Orhus Center in Georgia”

The current development tendencies based on the economic growth do not provide the harmonic living circumstance between human and nature, which is a precondition for human well-being.

The discussion emerged to the wide range of implementation of sustainable development principles is a relevant answer of the acknowledgement of reality.

The lecture aims to highlight current development tendencies in relation to environmental problems, necessity of implementing sustainable development, main sense of the mentioned notion, achieved progress and current problems.
