On November 18, at 14:00, within the final conference of the “The ACADEMIC SWISS CAUCASUS NET (ASCN)” and Ilia State University (ISU), Chief executive of influential British paper “The Economist,” Edward Lukas will deliver a public lecture on the topic Realpolitik and the New Cold War.

Regarding the Speaker

Edward Lukas is a senior editor of an English-language weekly news magazine The Economist. Into his research area fall the issues of reconnaissance and intelligence in the Central and Eastern European region, as well as those of cybersecurity and the energy sector, as well as the end of cold war: the disappearance of Iron Curtain, the fall of the SU and the era of Vladimir Putin. Mr. Lukas is also a vice-president of the EuropeanPolicy Analysis (CEPA). Among his famous papers are: “The New Cold War“(2008), “Deception“(2011), “The Snowden Operation“(2014).
