Certification program “Translation and Terminology” prepares highly qualified professional translators and equips them with methodological knowledge and skills necessary for translation of any type of texts.

Duration of the course is one semester. Tuition fee is 850 GEL.

Candidates, who would like to participate in the certificate program, should already have a BA degree or provide proof of a three-year university general education in any field. Candidate should speak at least one European language (English, German, French, Spanish or Italian). Knowledge of Russian language is a plus. Candidates will be invited to an interview and a written exam.

After completing of the certificate program, graduates will have gained terminology in different fields (policy, economics, law, scientific and technical fields) in their native and two foreign languages and will be able to use them during written translations.

Graduates of the program will be able to work as translators at the state or private institutions: Ministry of Justice, Office of the Prosecutor, banks, parliament, different state and private enterprises.

Presentation of the program will be held on October 13, 2010 2pm at the Ilia State University (address: 32 Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, building “A”, room #101).
