PROFESSOR ANDREAS ARNDT TO DELIVER PUBLIC LECTURE ON RECOGNITION AND IMPORTANCE OF RECOGNITION IN MODEN DEMOCRATIC STATE

On April 1, at 16:30, at Book House Ligamus of Ilia State University, within the project “Presidential Collegium for State Arrangement”, Professor at Humboldt University of Berlin, Andreas Arndt, will deliver a public lecture on “Recognition and Importance of the Notion of Recognition in Modern Democratic State”.
The speaker will make a speech on the importance of the notion of recognition, which dates back to Classical German Philosophy. Andreas Arndt will try to discuss the notion of recognition in a modern context, and will make it applicable to different economic fields as well.

Regarding the Speaker
Andreas Arndt is a professor of philosophy of the faculty of theology at Humboldt University of Berlin and a head of Friedrich Schleiermacher Research Department of Science Academy of Berlin and Brandenburg. From 1977 to 1979, he was a member of the team studying Marx’s philosophy. Having written his thesis about Karl Marx and his theory --“Karl Marx: Versuch über den Zusammenhang seiner Theorie” in 1985, two years late, in 1987, he received habilitation at the Free University of Berlin. Andreas Arndt also performed professional activities at Theological Seminary in Berlin and the University of Jena. Since 1992, he has headed International Council of Hegel.
