PRESENTATION OF CENTER FOR MEMORY STUDIES OF THE CAUCASUS AT ILIA STATE UNIVERSITY

On April 12, at 12:00, at Ilia State University Book House Ligamus, a presentation of the research report regarding the problems of the refugees was held.

The report was drafted within the framework of the research projects “Being a Hostage to the Past: Subdued Voices of Georgian Refugees and the Problem of Social Integration.”

The research project financed by the International Affairs Institute of Norway was accomplished by the research group of the Centre for Memory Studies of the Caucasus at Ilia State University. The research comprises the academic publication and the Policy Brief – “Rejecting Integration – Stigma as the bases of Troubled Existence.” The report is targeted at the Governmental and Non-governmental Organizations.
The research is focused on the problems of the integration of refugees into the society and aims to increase the involvement of the government as well as the public into the process.
