PPRTC official launch event

Events

PPRTC official launch event was held at 11 March at ISU.  PPRTC is the part of ISU MPA Program and is one of the first university-based think tanks in Georgia seeks to engage and coordinate academic personal, public and NGO representatives in targeted public policy research and training programs. PPRTC is established through the EWMI-G-PAC grant funds.

ISU Rector Giga Zedania, USAID Mission Director Stephen Haykin, Deputy Minister of Defense Tamuna Karosanidze, EWMI G-PAC Chief of Party Marc Lassman, and MPA Program Director Archil Abashidze spoke at the launch event. The speakers emphasized the PPRTC’s role in bringing together stakeholders from government, civil society, and academia to share knowledge and expertise to improve policy debate.

The launch event also included a short ceremony in which the first graduates of the PPRTC’s public training program on the SPSS received certificates for completing the course. Further, another similar training class has already begun.

The launch event was attended by the representatives of public and NGO sector.
