LGBT Movement Peculiarities

On April 23, 17:00, NGO “Identity” with support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia invites  all interested parts to attend the lecture-discussion  on “ LGBT Movement Peculiarities in the Post-Soviet Countries” at Ilia State University Conference Hall (Venue: G. Tsereteli 3).  The lecture will be delivered by Shorena Gabunia, a graduate student of Art History & Theory.

The meeting aims to familiarize students with LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) related issues.  The meeting will be interactive to facilitate the involvement of students in the discussion.

The discussion will assist students, concentrating on law, social, psychological, medical and journalism specializations, to expand their professional horizons.

All interested students are given a chance:

to get involved in additional activities, to participate in trainings and other events in order to deepen their knowledge in LGBT- related fields.

to prepare themes and take part in two-day conference planned for December of 2012. The best 20 themes will be presented at the conference. The themes will be published in the identity web-journal “iD Mag” with the purpose of their popularization.
