On March 29-30, at 18:30, in Book House Ligamus of Ilia State University (ISU), Professor at Stanford University and ISU Honorable Doctor Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht will deliver a cycle of public lectures called Karl Marx and Marxism in today’s perspective.   

Lecture 1 on the topic Karl Marx and the XIX century is planned to be held on March 29, at 18:30

Lecture 2 on the topic Marxism in the XIX-XXI centuries will be held on March 30, at 18:30.

Regarding Speaker

At present, Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht is one of the prominent and influential literature specialists and cultural theorists. He is the author of different books such as “the Power of Philology,” “Production of Presence,”  ‘In praise of Athletic Beauty,” “Life and Death of Great Novelists, “etc.
