ILIAUNI TURNS 10 YEARS OLD – MEETING WITH ETGAR KERET

On May 21, at 19:00, at Book House Ligamus of Ilia State University, within the events “Ilia State University turns 10 years old,” a meeting will be held with writer Etgar Keret. The meeting has been organized by the First Tbilisi International Festival of Literature and Ilia State University.

Regarding the Writer
Writer and playwright Etgar Keret was born in Ramat Gan, in 1967. Today he lives in Tel Aviv. Etgar Keret has been honoured with a number of literary and film awards. He was also awarded with the Medal of French arts and literature. At the Cannes Film Festival, his wife and he received Golden Camera for the best feature film “Medusa”. At the Acco Festival of Alternative Israeli Theatre, he won the 1st place. Mr. Kerret’s writings have been published by such popular magazines as Wall Street Journal, Paris Review and New Yorker. The writer’s stories have been translated in 37 languages, including Georgian.
Today the writer is delivering lectures at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
This is the writer’s second visit to Georgia.
