Basics and Fundamentals of Game Development: Free course for senior pupils

On 27 February 2021, FabLab Iliauni, in partnership with the Young Scientists’ Club of Georgia, is launching a free course for senior pupils Basics and Fundamentals of Game Development.

 Course participants will work with Unreal Engine 4. They will develop an understanding of the tools of its visual scripting, engine functionality and programming elements. Apart from Unreal Engine 4 related aspects, participants will gain knowledge of each stage of game development from planning to publishing.

►Who is the course for?

The course is designed for motivated 9th to 12th graders from around Georgia, who are interested in game industry.

Requirements: Laptop or desktop PC that can be effectively used for running the engine. Detailed system requirements are as follows: 

  • CPU: Quad-core OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit or Mac OSX Sierra
  • Intel or AMD processor. 2.5 GHz or faster
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
  • Video Card/DirectX Version: DirectX 11 or Directx 12 compatible graphics card
  • For storage purposes, fast SSDs are good

► How to take part in the project?

To take part in the project, please complete a simple application form no later than 21 February 2021.

Time Schedule:

Saturday: 2 pm

Wednesday: 5 pm

ᲡThe course includes 16 training sessions; each session will last 1.5-2 hours.

Note: Participants who miss more than 20% of total course hours will not receive a certificate.
