The Best Georgian Novel of the Year

To help develop the Georgian Literature Ilia State University for already third year announces the competition for the best Georgian language novel.

According to the competition terms, the competitive composition has to be published from December 5, 2011 to December 5, 2012. The novels published in this time period can be presented for competition from October 31 to December 5. The members of the jury will evaluate the novel individually according to the common scale. Collaborative decisions among the judges are not foreseen in the frames of the competition. The winner will be the novel which will receive the most points. The participation of the jury is confidential and consists of ISU professors and students. 

The winner will receive the biggest prize for literary award in Georgia, in particular, 10 000 GEL.

Until now 41 novel participated in the competition, Aka Morchiladze received the prize for the best Georgian novel 2010 with the novel "The Mamluk", in 2011 Zaza Burchuladze was winner for his novel "Gasaberi Angelozi".

You should present the novel (11 copies) at the address: Tbilisi, Chavchavadze Ave. 32, Ilia State University book shop "Ligamus".
