From August 29 to September 3, 2011 Batumi Summer School in Education Administration is being organized with support of Ilia State University, Shota Rustaveli State University and Education Management Project (USAID). The summer school will uphold the mutual cooperation between two universities with the intention of preparing a joint master’s degree program in education administration.

The summer school courses will be delivered by the professors of Ilia State University and Shota Rustaveli State University as well. Barbara Night, Professor at the Graduate School of Education & information Studies of UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), will deliver the special seminars in teaching methodology and academic course design to the professors of Shota Rustaveli State University.

The joint summer school in education administration issues has sourced a plenty of attention of the society.  The courses are designed for the representatives of higher and general education institutions. 114 participants will pass through the following studying courses:

1. Curriculum Development Methodology
2. Teaching Methodology
3. Human Resource Management in Education
4. Organizational Leadership
5. Education in Diverse Society
6. Practical Research in Education
7. Education Policy
8. Studying Process Monitoring/ Evaluation

After the completion of the  summer school, the participants will be granted with the relevant certificates.
